With the increasing awareness of drug quality and safety, GMP management is becoming more and more strict, and clean room cleaning is becoming more and more important. As the most commonly used cleaning tools in clean areas, clean rags play a vital role. A small rag, but can affect the cleaning effect and the quality of medicine.

Clean cloth ever

In the early stage of clean area, towels are used as cleaning tools, which have good water absorption and cleaning effect, and are widely used in cleaning equipment and related ancillary facilities. After the towel is wiped, the surface of equipment will adhere to a layer of small fibers, which directly affects the quality of drugs.
The towels were upgraded to mercerized towels after elimination. Mercerized towels did not have fiber adhesion phenomenon, but there was shedding phenomenon, which would produce cross-contamination of drugs.

Because the mercerized towel could not meet the high requirements of the pharmaceutical environment, it was upgraded to dust-free cloth after elimination. According to the fiber thickness, dust-free cloth is classified into: polyester fiber dust-free cloth, microfiber dust-free cloth, sub-microfiber dust-free cloth, imitation microfiber dust-free cloth, high-density dust-free cloth.

Microfiber dust-free cloth is commonly used in clean areas. Microfiber dust-free cloth is made of ultra-fine and tough fibers. It has super fine organizational structure, soft and tough characteristics, long service life, strong adsorption performance, less dust and low ion content.

The clean cloth on the market is subject to different materials and different technological levels, and the quality is uneven. How to judge the performance indicators of clean rags, generally from the amount of water absorption, dust, ion precipitation, the amount of non-volatile matter in the solvent (NVR) several aspects to judge. Here we mainly focus on two indicators: water absorption and dust emission.
1. Water absorption. If the pollutant is a solid powder, it is best to wipe after wetting a dust-free cloth to prevent the powder from flying. This requires the dust-free cloth to have good water absorption, which can prevent dust from falling. If the pollutant is water or solid-liquid mixture, good water absorption and fast liquid absorption speed are advantages.
2. The amount of dust. In order to reduce the amount of dust, the general manufacturers on the market will use high-quality and inexpensive, more wear-resistant high-strength fiber, namely polyester fiber. But polyester fiber has its obvious weaknesses, general water absorption (in more liquid occasions must increase the use of dust-free cloth or wiping times, which means more dust), easy to accumulate static electricity.

• Use different colors of clean cloth to distinguish: Garber clean cloth has white, blue, pink, green, yellow five colors.
